Am trying to reserve dinner on 3/21 at Chez George. Only show lunch times.?
Very nice atmosphere and service. Ultra traditional french cuisine, hence simple and no frills. Fresh and good, but I find €40 for a sole à la meunière overpriced, and €6 for the coffee also a bit rich. Caters to business people from the area at lunch, at dinner the clientele is mostly American tourists. I'd rather go to nearby Bistrot Victoires for less than half the price.
MoreAn amazing meal. The duck was beyond perfect. Herring and potato salad was delicious. Perfect classic French food.
MoreA great authentic French Restaurant! The best food and friendly service! Do yourself a favour and come to Chez Georges! We came here for lunch and had the lobster! Sublime! We will be back!
MoreWe did a reservation for two people and when we arrived we were sharing our table with other four unkonwn people. Horrible! The restaurant was full and we could not breath fresh air. At the end of the dinner we were exhausted! Horrible! The entrecote was fatty and hard. Horrible! The potatoes served with the meat were burned. Horrible! Staff wo served us were unpolite and not helpful at all. So...why recommend such a hell like this place? This was November 2018. We came back to this Restaurant an year later, and it was much better. Service was ok. Food was ok. And the table that we had was ok because it was for only ourselves. So that, I gave now 3 stars.
MoreVery good restaurant.
It’s true what they say about Paris. The people are unbelievable unfriendly. The waiter was literally screaming at us and did not stop. I have never experienced something like that. Food is bad. Please don’t go there. It’s way too expensive for what you get.
MoreNothing special, too pricey. Staffs were kind except one guy who were charge of checking a reservation list. He didn't say hi even he saw us.
MoreFood was very unremarkable. Meat was hard and fatty and served lukewarm. Our server was however very friendly. Tourist place par excellence. I have been had..!
MoreA place that gives you the true Parisian atmosphere. The food is good as well as the service. The prices are quite high. If money is not a concern it is worth visiting.
MoreThis old timer has become nothing more than an severely over-priced tourist trap caught in a time warp,The quality of most of the dishes is just above cafe level while the prices are over the top, especially for wine.Would not recommend.
MoreAmazing food! Butter sole is worth a try!
Recommended, perfect food, perfect service, will come back for sure.
M.Laurent was most helpful and considerate. Excellent service
Classical French with Sue effort for the tourist breed while catering to locals all the while. Maintains it's authenticity, thus.
MoreWe've been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years. Every time we come to Paris we make sure to stop in at least once. This trip we came twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. The sweetbreads with morels were superb, the best sweetbreads I have ever had. The steak and french fries are always delicious. We pre-ordered the turbo for our last lunch there since they can run out of that. It was perfectly cooked with a fantastic bearnaise sauce. Besides the excellent food, the service is consistently good.
MoreFantastic place, great atmosphere oh good food
Excellent food in Parisian restaurant. Tables very close together so would not be so comfortable on a weekend night. Wine list nice but expensive.
MoreIt is a lovely bistro on a quiet side street. The luncheon atmosphere was abuzz at Christmastime and clientele clearly were in a festive mood. I had the grilled fish, my wife had the frisée salad with lardons and poached egg. The fish was under cooked so I was a little disappointed. I did eat around the under cooked sections and those were delicious. The frisée salad was excellent. We arrived around 1:30pm for lunch and tables were clearing quickly. I did not expect a problem in the kitchen. I would come back again and maybe note the fish problem to the wait staff. Otherwise our experience was enjoyable.
MoreBest Brasserie restaurant in Paris. Expensive but worth every euro. Personel is fantastic. Only drawback is that they are closed for the weekend 😢
MoreA wonderful, very authentic French restaurant. When walking in, it is like going back years, to another era. The decor is old but so charming and warm. The tables are close together, but it adds the the charm and character of this wonderful restaurant. The ambience is noisy, but in a charming way.The food is to incredible, the wine list extensive, from the reasonable to the...... Our meal was beautifully prepared and served. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and ever so helpful. Highly recommended when visiting Paris.
MoreAuthentic french cuisine, it being my first time I really enjoyed it. Great service and atmosphere.
MoreA typical French bistro top restaurant. Go for the specialities like "ris de veau aux morilles" some of the bests in Paris. Ambiance is typically Parisian. Perfect for both Lunch time and dinner. Good wine list. Waiters are fun.Quite pricy, but it worth it. Then you can stroll in galerie Vivienne or go to épicerie Legrand... Enjoy Paris !
MorePricey on wines, good steak, desserts not best option..
Super french, traditional, delicious! I love their steak+frites. They also have a beautiful herring starter with all you can eat potato salad. Holy! Don’t forget to check our their dessert cart towards the middle of the restaurant. If you go, I would call in for a reservation. It's lively and fun around 8:30pm. I think it's a spot for a lot of people who work in the fashion industry to go... I've often seen a lot of super trendy, french groups... looking like they're relaxing after work.
MoreThis restaurant is a French national treasure! I had an excellent lunch on a quiet weekday. I had escargot to start then scallops. It was my first time eating escargot and the staff was very helpful showing me how to eat them (it’s tricky!). For dessert we had the chestnut cream which was divine and was large enough to serve four. Our waitress was very helpful and described all the house specialties to us (in English as we do not speak French). It’s definitely not cheap but well worth the price for a special occasion.
MoreOnly tourist...
Small classical bistro. Good food. But rather expensive
The food was good but the sole was not worth 45E per plate. The salad seemed thrown together with gobs of mayonnaisy dressing. The place is festive and that sort of helps you to ignore the fact that you are paying too much for what you get. If you want authentic French food try Bistro du Dome. Much better food elegantly served and more reasonably priced.
MoreFood is good but high price. The waitress were nice before we paid, she totally got rude with us since we didn’t tip ( and it’s normal in France we don’t tip ) Thats not right attitude to customers.
MoreA amazing experience at Chez Georges. The service, the listened, the availability of the personnel is the most of this restaurant and with evidence of the quality of the dishes and the wide choice of wines.I recommend if you go to a typical Parisian restaurantTrès bon restaurant, le service est impeccable ainsi que la qualité des plats. Très bonne carte de vins
MoreThe best andouillette in Paris! And very nice service
It´s cosy and perfect if you want frech food
Must try at Rui de Mail ... friendly staff 🤗🤗😍
Rumor has it that this is a favorite of the Chanel team. True or not, this authentic little bistro serves up pepper steak with hot crispy fries and fancier fare, too, all for prices only slightly higher than normal.
MoreLove this traditional bistro! Lovely old pillared and mirrored walls; tight seating, as is typical in Parisian bistros; wonderfully friendly service. The ratatouille (served in a huge portion; take as much as you can eat) was outstanding, the tarte tatin (with heavy, slighly sour whipped ream) to die for. Their specialty is sole muniere, and that was very competently done.
MoreExcelent traditional french cuisine
I love this restaurant - and so did Julia Child...Bon appetit!
Amazing food, all the dishes were amazing, and the wine as well. the service is great, very friendly people, they accommodated us even without reservation and were super nice "something is very rare in Paris"
MoreAMAZING! Thank you for an amazing first night in Paris... lovely restaurant, helpful and happy staff, amazing food! The cheese plate was magnificent! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
MoreGreat atmosphere. Had the duck breast, excellent!
Favorite place to mange. Classic cuisine, and the same waitresses since my husband was little. The food has never wavered, always fantastic no matter what time of day, week, month... or year!
MoreFish was undercooked. $49 Euro’s for the entree. Brought it to mangers attention and all he said sorry. Guess US dollars and repeat customers are not valued here.
MoreClassic french bistro cousine... excellent!!!!
Great local franch bistros
My favorite restaurant in Paris. Great food (lentilles, sol meuniere...) and nice staff. Also athmospere ist great.
MoreGood food but small place
Good restaurant. Excellent food. Lovely setting.
It was a great & authentic bistro. Now it still has the right atmosphere but something went wrong. A place for tourists
MoreIf you don't mind sitting elbow to elbow this is the place for fine classic French cuisine. Try the bone marrow!!!
MoreGreat food and atmosphere
